My package from Lone was beautifully wrapped.  This adorable box was filled with three of their balms.  I loved them all for very different reasons.  Here’s the scoop:

1. Soothe: Lemon Mint

This balm smells very refreshing and is GREAT for dry, chapped lips that are sensitive to other balms and products.  It glides on smoothly and even withstood a day in a hot, hot rental car during my trip to Tucson this week.  This balm is superb for the Winter months, but I also find it refreshing for warmer weather when you easily become dehydrated.

2. Heal: Spiced Pepper

This balm is truly spicy!  I found it great as a natural lip plumper as the surface of my lips was tingly after use.  Very reminiscent of other lip plumping products I’ve used in the past, except it was all natural of course.  It should be noted that the balms do contain beeswax however the base is made of organic coconut oil.  My hope is that sometime in the future, Lone introduces products that use bee-free options, but I wanted to be sure to mention this as a point of awareness for all vegan readers.

3. Polish: Vanilla Sugar

Love this stuff!  It tastes super sweet and leaves your lips quenched even after you rub (or lick!) off the excess sugar.  I have used many natural lips scrubs that are sugar based in the past, however, I also have noticed that long after I’ve rubbed the scrub off my lips, it still resides on my face….they tend to be messy to say the least!  Not this lip polish.  The sugar crystals end up directly where you apply them and are easy to remove.  I also found that the balm that remains on your lips afterwards was far more hydrating than other lips scrubs I have tested.

Lone has two additional lip balm products called Hydrate and Savor.  They boast vanilla and chai flavors respectively made in small batches just like the other varieties.  YUM!

Lone Bodycare Review

March 27, 2016

Spring!  I can’t believe how mild the winter was this year and now it’s feeling like Spring for sure.  During the past few weeks we were blessed with temperatures in the mid-70’s.  Kendall and I managed to eat outside at one of our favorite Thai restaurants.  Eating outside is typically a treat that doesn’t roll around until June around here!

Anyway, as cliché as it sounds, Spring is about new beginnings.  For me, that means I try my best to purge my closets and medicine cabinets of any clothing I haven’t worn in a few years or cosmetics and body products that are past their prime.  When Lone Bodycare reached out to me asking if I would be interested in partnering with them to review their natural deodorant and lip balms, I was thrilled.

Alright, now things get really serious.  Lone’s deodorant…OMG!  So effective, the Mint scented one that I tested is soooo refreshing.  The deodorant kept me fresh daily after even 10 hour workdays and workouts after work.

This deodorant is hands down, the MOST effective natural deodorant I’ve ever tried.  This product is also 100% vegan (ingredients do not contain any beeswax and no animal testing on end products or individual ingredients).  The deodorant is super easy to apply and there is no need to spread it using your hands like some popular deodorant creams and pastes that have flooded the organic/natural markets lately.  Lone produces 3 different scents: Citrus, Mint, and an Unscented variety.  I am excited to try the others once this one runs out.  I have been using it for over a month and still have tons left.  These babies are sold for $9.50 each which is a bargain compared to some of the other natural deodorants on the market

So to sum it all up, I’m in love with these products, the company and mission, and happy to suggest these products to friends, family, and everyone in between!
